The reliable, safe and affordable supply of water to the Santa Clarita Valley is essential for our community and our quality of life. I am committed to continuing to protect our valley from future drought through responsible planning and management.
In my 35-year career as a Water System Manager I oversaw the operation of five major water treatment plants. This experience has provided me the background and qualifications to protect the quality and reliability of our local groundwater and our imported water supplies.

I will continue to strive for responsible water resource planning including:

• Maximizing existing water supplies through recycling and conservation;
• Ensuring new development pays their share and not burden existing residents;
• Removing pollutants threatening our local groundwater and requiring the polluters to pay for cleanup;
• Seeking federal and state funding to reduce local project costs;
• Maintaining low water rates through strict budget oversight;

As a 40 year resident I have been actively involved in numerous community programs including:
Board Chairman for the Child and Family Center, Senior Center Wine Auction, and Meals on Wheels. I will continue working to ensure we always have a reliable supply of high quality water at a reasonable cost.
