Bill Cooper served on the Castaic Lake Water Agency Board of Directors during my time as Agency General Manager and has consistently demonstrated his commitment to meeting the water supply needs of the SCV. He has served as President and Vice President of the Board and has overseen numerous accomplishments such as expanding the Agency’s imported water supplies, enhancing the Agency’s ability to provide water to SCV businesses and residents in all years including times of drought, bringing private local water companies into public ownership and oversight, and developing water plans that extend to and ensure water demands are met through ultimate buildout of the Valley.

Bill’s qualifications to continue serving on the Board are unparalleled. In addition to his years of service and experience on the Board setting water policy, his four decades of prior work experience with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the largest water agency in the world, have provided him particular expertise in implementing water policy. The end result is water policy that is practical yet forward thinking and provides the greatest benefit at the least cost to our community.

As the former Agency General Manager, I have had the privilege of working for Bill over thirteen years and strongly endorse him for well-deserved reelection to the Board.
